The 11th Day of the 9th Moon of the Year
I went to the marketplace again today. It was extremely difficult to convince Franklin to let me go without telling him why. I told him that I was enjoying talking to one of the merchants who had interesting stories to tell. I do not think Franklin fully believed me, but he did not question it.
Sohar verified that it was the guild the follows Alan. He told me they have not been heard of in over a year. There were rumors that they disbanded since Alan himself has not been active for almost ten years. I had to admit to him that this is a sketching of a badge I believed to have been removed from a group of thugs that tried to rob us on our way to Dovan from Lypo. He cautioned me and suggested I inform the Head of the Guard here. If the guild has become active again, Alan maybe too.
I am not sure I want to tell the Head of the Guard. I know if I do, Franklin will find out what I know. This would explain why he has been so protective though. Having the followers of Alan target us. It probably was a coincidence, but even I am growing thankful for Franklin’s ever-present shadow.
