The 30th Day of the 2nd Moon

It appears as though I did not keep my mission to write more frequently. However, so much has happened. The elven city was magnificent! The beauty of the engravings and wood work was second to none. However, what has truly stolen my heart is Thintaka. I have been told its tower is nothing like Saro’s tower, but it is still a wonder to behold. But even better still, my family is here!

Mom, Dad, and Nathaniel are all here. My father is still in shock. I think all of this might have broken is mind, I am worried about that. My mother’s family is here as well, they are very pleasant people. Nathaniel is holding up far better than I expected, however he rarely leaves my mother’s side. I cannot fully blame him though, I rarely wish to leave her side as well.

Franklin has resworn his sword and shield to my family. That was a ceremony to behold. It felt as though all the sorcerers and sorceresses in town were there.

My mother has taken my magic lessons on herself, she is also teaching Nathaniel. My mother looks so much happier here. I mean, she always seemed happy in Lypo, but there is a glow about her here. My father mostly stays in his room. Mother tells me to not worry myself about him, but I know something is wrong.

Cherish was welcomed with open arms. She is handling all of this so well. Honestly, I am surprised I am handling it all as well as I am. It is a lot to take in and deal with. My whole life has been turned upside down. And yet, it feels right. For once in my life, I feel as though I’m where I’m supposed to be.
