The 21st of the 10th Moon

The 21st of the 10th Moon

Cherish was at her father’s stand today. Her hair was twisted into a wavy bunch behind her head, other than a small section that hung right in front of one of her green eyes. She gave both Franklin and I a free fruit. No one had heard anything of what happened in the palace. All anyone knew was that the ambassadors left unhappily, but not many were surprised by that. King Hargon’s lack of diplomacy is well known.

I could not help myself, but ask if her father needed any extra hands on the orchard. I do not think Franklin appreciated me asking that question, but he did not say a thing. Her smile made my heart skip a beat and she said that she would ask her father and said she might need a hand every once and a while. That would be a great escape from the palace.

I saw Akma briefly on our way back through the palace. He found a book I might want to read. He knows the person who translated it into the Common Tongue from Dwarven. It is a legend of a great dwarven adventurer. It sounds interesting.
