The 13th Day of the 10th Moon
I have not been able to read due to the commotion here in the palace. I am not sure exactly what is happening, but many servants appear to be fearful of something. I overheard some of them talking about the ambassadors and their reaction to something King Hargon said.
Akma is worried that the King’s grief might be causing him to say or do things unintended. I wondered why the ambassadors came so close to Queen Idalga’s death. I suppose it is simply because that is when they planned to come and how far away they may have come from would hinder their flexibility. I wonder where they did come from. I do not know much about land outside of Bellmora. Maybe Akma can include that in some of my personal lessons.
The moon is already high in the sky and I can still hear people talking about the ambassadors outside the library. Something must have happened. Unfortunately, their voices do not sound calm.
Oh my. I just went and listened in. I did not hear everything, but it sounded like the ambassadors were not happy with a discussion they had with King Hargon. They apparently threatened to leave and, at one point, someone overheard the discussion of war. I never thought that things could possibly be that bad between us and the elves. I need to figure out how to learn more about what is going on.
