There was only one legend with the rocs. It was of a roc that sacrificed its life for a human that was being attacked by wolves. It fended off the wolves, however sustained mortal wounds. I will be honest, rocs just seem to be larger birds. This book has not talked about any special powers or abilities. They must have some, right? Cherish agrees that something must be unknown about them, at least to this author.

Franklin gave me the day off because I am still in pain. But Finlla said since I did not have mental distress, we would continue our lessons in magic. I am beginning to doubt I have any magic in my blood. He had me meditating for so long and yet I felt nothing. He tried to reassure me that sometimes that happens, but I do not know.
