I am so exhausted. Franklin is making us travel both day and night so that we will sleep during the day and travel at night (he is giving us a short break for food at this moment). He did finally explain to me why he felt Cherish would be safer with us. He said the guild members now know her face and that she is dear to me, making her a target. I wanted to argue with him, but the memory of them attacking us is making me fear the worst.
Cherish is handling this journey more than I. I miss my carriage, it was much more comfortable than a horse! In order to save room, Franklin only packed us one set of clothes that we are not to change into unless our current ones get soiled or wet. I feel disgusting just thinking about it. Franklin did promise me that if we have time in a safe place I can bathe in rivers we come across. At least it is something.
I do worry about traveling in night over the next several days. The moon is almost gone from the sky; tomorrow night it will be gone. I do not know how we are going to find our way; I am trying to put faith in Franklin. I suppose he has not steered me wrong yet. He will not tell me where we are going though. I cannot help but wonder if he even knows.
What if I listened to my father and was able to stay in Lypo. Would Alan have found me? Would Alan even be after me? Oh Spirits…what if my family has been attacked? Are they okay? Are they alive? Oh Spirits, please let me know…
