The 2nd Day of the 11th Moon
Today was horrible. It was nothing like when I would visit Cherish previously. I was sweating, dirt and grime covered me, the sun’s heat was unbearable, and some of the other workers were quite rude. When Franklin was not around, they would steal apples out of my basket and claim that I just imagined it. This meant I had to work even longer because we were all required to fill five baskets. There were not many apples to begin with. Once away from the others, Franklin told me that he believed me that they stole from my basket but felt we should just keep our heads down for a while.
I am uncertain of how worth it this move was. Still considering running back home. I just do not know how I would get there. Going by foot would take several moons, possibly even a year.
