The 30th Day of the 10th Moon
I am so glad Cherish’s father has a house for their workers. Franklin and I had to flee the palace. I did not know why until we were far away from the gates. Apparently some unfamiliar people have been entering the palace at night. The servants spotted them and with Franklin’s help they found out they were welcomed guest, however unannounced, to the point that only a select few servants were actually alerted to their presence. Franklin would not let me know how he figured any of that out, but I trust him, he is much more resourceful than I had previously thought. This on its own was enough to put Franklin on edge, but apparently someone heard the name “Alan” being spoken among these strangers. Could someone be really working with followers of Alan? Why would they do that?
