The 22nd Day of the 9th Moon of the Year
The Queen’s funeral is today. No one is smiling. She was a wonderful queen. Over the past few days I have heard some of the servants telling stories about how she even stood up to the King on their behalf a few times. I had never heard anything negative about her and everything I am hearing now is positive. She was more wonderful than I had known.
In honor of her memory, I am refraining from reading for pleasure. I am spending the day meditating, praying, and studying for lessons. It will be difficult, but anything for Queen Idalga’s memory.
