The 15th Day of the 9th Moon of the Year
The Queen has passed away. I…I do not know what will happen. The King has no heirs. Franklin told me that the King’s health is also waning ever since the Queen became bed ridden. The servants have kept a close watch on everything.
I could not concentrate on reading after I heard the news. Classes have been cancelled until further notice. Franklin did not want to continue with our private lessons either; which I am thankful for because I doubt I would do well today.
I cannot believe the Queen is dead. She will be missed.
